Sports Cars Take Over 5th Ave

I have no idea what was going on here today but an entire block of 5th Avenue in Park Slope was blocked off and completely filled with high end sports cars- Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, etc. There must have been about 100 in total. Unfortunately I didn't have my regular camera with me, just the cameraphone so this is the best shot I could take- but still cool!

Weedy Lot

A vacant weedy lot in Gowanus in the shadow of the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Building (aka One Hansen Place). Although not technically in the shadows since the building is pretty far to the north of the lot and the we're in the northern hemisphere, but close enough. I wonder how much longer empty lots like this can remain empty situated right next to prime real estate areas.
