Love Monkey

Last night was the premiere episode of Love Monkey on CBS. It stars the guy from Ed and Brandon from 90210. I thought it was pretty good. It was funny, smart, witty, the pacing was great and they filmed a lot of outdoor scenes in NYC (mostly Lower East Side it appeared). In fact, when we went to Grimaldi's earlier this month there were signs saying the restaurant would be closed for a few days to shoot Love Monkey. Even without the Priestly factor, this show would be good but I'm not totally hooked on it yet- sometimes a show will have a strong pilot and then just fizzle or run out of compelling stories or just become stupid. I'll definitely be giving it another shot next week and then we'll see if it's a keeper. But so far so good.
